KUALA LUMPUR: Bumi Armada Bhd's head of offshore marine services (OMS) Shaharul Rezza Hassan is resigning from the international offshore energy facilities and services provider.

It said on Friday Rezza will officially relinquish his roles as executive director and head of the OMS on Feb 28, 2018.

“He has requested an early release from the group to pursue other interests outside the group,” it announced to Bursa Malaysia.

Rezza joined Bumi Armada in September 2005 and prior to his current role as head of OMS, he was the chief financial officer.

Bumi Armada chairman Tunku Ali Redhauddin Tuanku Muhriz thanked Rezza for his contributions over the last 13 years and his dedication to grow Bumi Armada.

“The group has identified an internal successor, Megat Zariman Abdul Rahim to take over the role of head of OMS,” it said.

Prior to joining the group in April 2013, Megat Zariman  spent nearly 22 years at Schlumberger Ltd covering several different roles in the organisation, including global account director and new business development director.
