RAM partners AIM WA to hold leadership programmes

Group CEO of RAM Datuk Seri Dr K. Govindan said RAM was fortunate to be able to partner AIM WA in conducting world-class leadership programmes.

KUALA LUMPUR: RAM Holdings Bhd is teaming up with the Australian Institute of Management Western Australia (AIM WA) to conduct leadership programmes for the financial sewrvices sector.

The ratings agency had on Thursday signed an MoU with AIM WA to develop, promote and strengthen the skills of leaders in the Malaysian and regional sectors.

Speaking at the signing of the MoU, the group CEO of RAM  Datuk Seri Dr K. Govindan said RAM was fortunate to be able to partner AIM WA in conducting world-class leadership programmes.

He pointed out AIM WA has over 60 years’ experience and expertise in competency-based learning solutions, and offers effective, measurable people-development solutions.

AIM WA is a private not-for-profit organisation and an international leader in competency-based learning solutions.

High-performing organisations acknowledge that their success depends on how capable and engaged their people are.

Hence, the collaboration is crucial as competency-based learning and applications have been gaining traction.

The market is becoming increasingly more aware that formal education does not necessarily equip employees with the relevant skills to thrive and perform effectively in the workplace.

RAM said in today’s extremely competitive, complex and fast-moving environment, strong and authentic leaders will stand out - in both good and bad times.

This collaboration therefore aims to develop, promote and strengthen the skills of leaders in the Malaysian and regional financial services sector.

The CEO of AIM WA,  Emeritus Prof. Gary Martin said they were drawn to RAM’s dedication to developing an informed and sophisticated domestic bond market, through their pledge on market education and their success as one of Malaysia’s leading training specialists for the bond market.

“We look forward to working closely with RAM in bringing cutting-edge leadership programmes to Malaysia and this region,” added  Martin.

The partnership will offer its first four-day high-performers leadership retreat -- Leading for Strategic and Sustainable Success. It will be held in Lombok, Indonesia, from April 23 to 26, 2018.
