KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd said its operating profit in the first quarter ended Nov 30 was flattish at RM2.34bil, as the increase in revenue from higher electricity sales was offset by a jump in expenses.
Electricity demand growth in Peninsular Malaysia for the period was at 1.2%, the company said, mainly contributed by the continuing upward trend in the industrial sector.
