Takaful Malaysia to step up digital push


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Takaful Malaysia said the family takaful business generated gross earned contributions of RM1.61bil for FY18, a 27% increase against the RM1.26bil in the previous corresponding period.

KUALA LUMPUR: Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Bhd is embarking on multiple digital initiatives, including online marketing, after full-year net profit tops RM200mil for the first time.

The company, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, said net profit in the last quarter ended Dec 31, jumped 43% to RM56.3mil from a year ago, lifted by higher net wakalah fee income and lower management expenses.
