Trading ideas: APFT, Comintel Corp, Freight Management

KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects APFT Bhd , Comintel Corp Bhd and Freight Management Holdings Bhd to be among the stocks to watch on Monday following their latest corporate news.

APFT has fallen into Practice Note 17 (PN17) status after its former external auditors expressed an emphasis of matter on the company’s ability to continue as a going concern based on its audited financial statements for its financial year ended July 31, 2016.

Comintel Corp has entered into talks with Thanh Cong Cooperative to install its green waste management waste-to-energy system at the Xuan Son municipal solid waste treatment plant in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Freight Management has been granted a special incentive package from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) for development of an e-Commerce fulfilment hub in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Meanwhile, US markets edged higher on Friday despite concerns of the government shutdown. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 53.91 points, or 0.2%, to 26,071.72.

Earlier, European stocks advanced on stronger quarterly earnings and the region's account surplus widened.

“The benchmark FBM KLCI is expected to remain flat below the resistance of 1,840 points after last week's sideways movement,” JF Apex said.
