GEORGE TOWN: Ewein Bhd clarified the company and its subsidiaries are not involved in the Penang undersea tunnel project.

In a statement yesterday, Ewein said that its subsidiary Ewein Land Sdn Bhd had merely entered into a joint venture with Consortium Zenith Construction Sdn Bhd (formally known as Consortium Zenith BUCG Sdn Bhd).

“Ewein did not acquire any land from the state government. The land is being developed jointly in a commercial transaction between Ewein Land and Consortium Zenith via a joint-venture vehicle Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd,” it said. — Bernama
