Hong Leong MSIG Takaful appoints Mohd Asri as new CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Bhd (HLMT) has appointed Mohd Asri Omar as its new chief executive officer, effective Jan 2, 2018.

It said Mohd Asri’s role is to drive and execute transformation strategies to achieve profitable growth, accelerate the returns of shareholders, and ensure the operational effectiveness of HLMT.

“He brings to HLMT a wealth of experience at the senior management level, having worked for over 20 years in key areas, including business strategy and development, operations, legal, Shariah, operations, risk management,  and compliance,” HLMT said in a statement today.

Prior to his appointment at HLMT, Mohd Asri was the Head of Governance  and  Strategy of AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd, where he was accountable for the company’s business strategy, operations, project and information management, legal, Shariah, and secretarial functions. - Bernama
