KUALA LUMPUR: The commemorative currencies issued by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) in conjunction with three historic events can be ordered online from today until Jan 19, 2018.

The issuance are in honour of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Federation of Malaysia Independence agreement, the installation of Sultan Muhammad V as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, and the National Archives of Malaysia’s 60th anniversary,

“The public can place their orders at https://duit.bnm.gov.my from today until 1.00pm on Jan 19, 2018,” BNM said in a statement today.

It said they should place their orders through the BNM online system and not with any other party or unauthorised ordering facilities.

BNM said the results of the orders would be announced on Jan 25, 2018, at www.bnm.gov.my, the BNM Museum and Art Gallery, and the central bank’s branch offices in Penang, Johor Baru, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Kuala Terengganu.

Buyers have to present valid identification in person for collection at BNM’s Museum and Art Gallery and offices, it said.

Collection for all commemorative currencies closes on Feb 28, 2018, BNM said. - Bernama
