KUALA LUMPUR: Omesti Bhd's unit has received a contract from Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) to develop a new digital core registry platform for the SSM online infrastructure.

Omesti said the contract was awarded to Formis Network Services Sdn Bhd for the supply, implementation, training, support and maintenance of SSM's core registry solution.

The project is to be delivered via an outsourcing agreement and will be operated on a revenue-sharing basis, and hence the contract does not have a fixed value.

The contract period is for an initial term up to March 31, 2023.

"The various features within the new core registry solution will totally transform how corporate information is provided to SSM and will open up the way that data is made available to the investment community, other regulatory bodies and industry at large," said Omesti group executive director Gerard Monteiro.

The contract involves the design and deployment of an integrated core business registry management solution to digitally manage the lifecycle of companies, businesses, partnerships and corporate intermediaries.

It will also enable online research of company information, and submissions of applications, filings and updates.

The new core registry platform is due for deployment in phases from 1 April 2018 onwards.
