Genting Plantations Q3 earnings fall to RM77mil

The company told Bursa Malaysia yesterday that revenue for the current quarter improved year-on-year (y-o-y), mainly due to higher fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production from Indonesia, apart from the higher sales of refined palm products.

PETALING JAYA: Genting Plantations Bhd’s net profit dropped 18.7% to RM76.51mil for the third quarter ended Sept 30 compared to the previous corresponding quarter.

Revenue was up 8.2% to RM429.36mil from RM396.67mil a year ago.
