Sapura Energy group gets RM1.47b of contracts

KUALA LUMPUR: Sapura Energy Bhd's direct and indirect units have secured RM1.47bil worth of  contracts to provide its services to Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, Repsol Oil & Gas Malaysia Ltd,  the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) and in Brazil.

The company said on Wednesday that Sapura Offshore Sdn Bhd was awarded contracts for the Pan Malaysia transportation and installation of offshore facilities for Petronas Carigali and Sarawak Shell Bhd. 

It said the contract involved transportation and installation of offshore facilities including platform, structures and pipelines and its associated works in 2018.
 
Meanwhile, Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd and its partner, Borneo Seaoffshore Engineering Sdn Bhd were awarded a contract to provide maintenance, construction and modification services at Sarawak Gas for Petronas Carigali.

It said the contract will be for five years expiring in September 2022 with a one year extension option. 

Sapura Energy also said Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd bagged a contract to provide the hook-up, commissioning and offshore construction from Repsol Oil & Gas Malaysia Ltd.
 
The contract will involve onshore pre-fabrication works, offshore installation and hook-up, pre-commissioning of structural members and supports, piping, instrument and electrical equipment on existing and new production and processing platforms and facilities. The works will be carried out according to work orders based on agreed unit rates and prices. 

It said the contract duration is for a primary period of two years expiring in September 2019 with one  year extension option. 

Meanwhile, Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd was awarded a contract to provide mechanical works for the flexi high density polyethylene (HDPE) plant for the Rapid project by TecnimontHQC Sdn Bhd. Work is expected to be completed by March 2019.  

Sapura Energy Do Brasil LTDA bagged a contract to construct the pipeline for UTE Porto de Sergipe 1 combined cycle power plant;  installation of the FSRU’s mooring system and hooking-up of the FSRU/riser/umbilical by CELSE. Work is expected to be completed by end-2018.
