Mudajaya unit plans to issue up to RM245mil sukuk wakalah


PETALING JAYA: Construction outfit Mudajaya Group Bhd is proposing through indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Sinar Kamiri Sdn Bhd to issue up to RM245mil in nominal value of sukuk under the syariah principle of wakalah bi al-istithmar and based on the Securities Commission’s (SC) sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) sukuk framework.

The company said in a stock exchange filing that Sinar Kamiri made a lodgement with the SC on Nov 7 for the proposed issuance of the Green SRI sukuk wakalah.
