KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) is on track to achieve RM22bil in transactions value via mobile applications (apps) this year, leveraging on the new enhanced features launched in March.
Group chief technology officer, Mohd Suhail Amar Suresh, said in 2016, the group saw about 467.7 million transactions done via mobile valued at RM16bil,.
He said on Monday that to-date the bank had already registered about RM19bil transactions via the app and hence the target was most likely achievable.
“Our new mobile apps have refresh and enhance user experience, with personalise and simplified approaches, and that seem to attract the number of users that we have today.
“If we have our way, we would like to move all the customers to digital platforms,” he said at the media and analysts' briefing here. - Bernama
