KUALA LUMPUR: Next Bike Sdn Bhd, also known as Ducati Malaysia, plans to bring in a comprehensive product line-up to the local market, providing customers with merchandising items and services related to the Ducati brand.
Next Bike, which is a member of the Naza Group of Companies, said in a statement that the focus for the coming year would be on expanding the dealer network as per the strategy and guiding the dealer operation to ensure the business profitability, while enhancing the customer premium experience with the introduction of series of Ducati facilities and planned activities.
The sole importer and distributor for the Ducati brand in Malaysia (since November 2000) also plans to lower the cost of ownership, while maintaining the premium and exclusivity of the brand, including the after sales and service levels.
“For almost 17 years, we have been very proud to provide Malaysians a chance to not only own Ducati motorcycles but also the lifestyle that comes along with the premium brand,” said Naza World Group of Companies group executive chairman Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin.
“We’ve organised hundreds of rides and countless activities to elevate and grow the Ducati brand locally, and that includes expanding our dealer network exponentially. We look forward to great plans from 2018 onwards.”
He noted that Ducati Malaysia was currently helmed by Fazli Hisham Shukor, “who has a long relationship with the two-wheel business.”
Meanwhile, Ducati regional director (Asia) Marco Biondi said Ducati was proud to continue its partnership with Naza World Group through its subsidiary, Next Bike, for many years to come.
“The partnership has been quite fruitful over the span of about 17 years together, and we’re expecting a great 2018 with the new model year products,” he said.
He added that during the Ducati 2018 World Premiere planned this coming Sunday (Nov 5), which would be streamed live globally, no less than five models of the Ducati Model Range 2018 would be presented. One of them will include the highly anticipated new Ducati Panigale V4.
“Thanks to these novelties, we’ve forecast a big growth in 2018 and we will further elevate our commitment with Next Bike Sdn Bhd towards the Ducati brand” he added.
