Trading ideas: Seacera, Heitech Padu, YFG, Top Glove


KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex research expects Seacera, Heitech Padu, YFG and Top Glove to be among the stocks to watch on Thursday after their recent corporate news.

Seacera was awarded a RM216mil  contract to build the Rubber Research Institute of Malaya's centre of excellence in Selangor.

The research house noted that Heitech Padu has secured three contracts to set up high voltage interconnection facilities for three solar power plants for RM75.16mil.

YFG secured a RM200mil contract from Pierre Suite (M) Sdn Bhd to build 1,000 apartments in Taiping.

As for Top Glove, is set to announce a new acquisition within the next month, to boost the company' growth momentum. It plans to undertake an acquisition of about RM1b.

Sapura Energy is discontinuing its joint venture with London-based Subsea 7 S.A.
 
Overnight on Wall Street, the Dow briefly touched the 23,000 mark following optimism on corporate earnings. 

Earlier, European stocks advanced, led by automotive, F&B and media counters amid quarterly results and political uncertainty due to Brexit and Catalonia. 
 At Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday, the FBM KLCI dropped 5.38 points to close at 1,748.99. 

“After breaking the support of 1,750, the KLCI could trend lower towards the 200-day moving average at 1,743,” it said.
