TS Wong denies being a shareholder of Permaju


PETALING JAYA: MyEG Services Bhd group managing director Wong Thean Soon has denied being a shareholder of Permaju Industries Bhd

“Wong denies any truth to the speculation in news reports on being a shareholder in Permaju Industries,” MyEG said in a statement Friday. 

Wong, better known as TS Wong was reported in an English daily to have bought shares in Permaju through Credit Suisse Group AG. The report also said that Permaju managing director Datuk Chua Tiong Moon has disposed of virtually his entire 8.29% stake in the company.

StarBiz reported that Wong and Brahmal Vasudevan, founder and CEO of Creador Sdn Bhd, have emerged as substantial shareholders in Palette Multimedia Holdings Bhd.

According to Palette’s 2017 annual report released end-September, TS Wong appears as the fifth largest shareholder with 12.52 million shares or a 3.92% stake.

Meanwhile, Brahmal is the second largest shareholder of the warrants, holding some 20 million shares or a 13.77% stake.
