BHS firm to print past exam papers

PETALING JAYA: Printer BHS Industries Bhd has received a contract via a company in which it has an effective 50% stake to print past-year question papers for the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah, Pentaksiran Tingkatan Tiga, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Ulangan and Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia examinations.

The company said in a stock-exchange filing that the contract was given to Pustaka Yakin Pelajar Sdn Bhd, in which its unit Pustaka Sistem Pelajaran Sdn Bhd has a 50% stake.

It said the contract was for five years and is effective from Oct 1, 2017 to Sept 30, 2022 unless terminated earlier in accordance with the letter of acceptance. There was no contract value given.

In a separate announcement, BHS said Pustaka Sistem had entered into a share sale agreement with Nikko Ventures Sdn Bhd to dispose of a 50% stake in Pustaka Yakin for RM146,717.

Nikko engages in marketing and promoting textbooks and educational books as well as other relevant teaching materials to the private sector and government agencies. Nikko’s directors are Datuk Mohd Fauzi Aziz, Mohammad Nadzim Nasir and Hu Shing Chan.
