KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd
(TNB) unit TNB Repair And Maintenance Sdn Bhd (TNB Remaco) will set up a waste heat recovery power plant (WHRPP) to generate electricity from waste heat from Cement Industries Malaysia Bhd’s (Cima) two cement plants.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the utility said TNB Remaco had inked a term sheet agreement with Cima’s wholly-owned subsidiary Negeri Sembilan Cement Industries Sdn Bhd (NSCI) to produce electricity on a build, own, maintain and transfer basis from the plants in Bahau, Negri Sembilan and Bukit Keteri, Perlis.
