KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Bhd and its subsidiaries will be closed on Monday, Sept 4, in conjunction with a special public holiday declared by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Razak.
The exchange holding company said in a statement that the group would resume operations on Tuesday.
Najib made the surprise public holiday announcement at midnight on Wednesday following Malaysia’s best-ever performance at the SEA Games (145 gold, 92 silver and 86 bronze medals).
