Malton shares up more than 5% in early trade


KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Malton Bhd soared 5% in early trade on Wednesday, buoyed by its latest quarterly results.

The counter rose five sen, or 5.05% to RM1.04 while Malton-WB gained 4.5 sne to 39.5 sen. Malton has already risen 56% this year.

Malton’s net profit more than double to RM48.17mil in the fourth quarter ended June 30, from RM21.27mil a year ago.

Its revenue rose to RM334.69mil during the quarter compared with RM220.44mil previously. 

For the full financial year ended June 30, Malton posted a net profit of RM62.52mil on revenue of RM817.08mil.
