Trading ideas: Scomi Group, Inix, Serba Dinamik, Spring Gallery

KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Scomi Group, Inix Technologies, Serba Dinamik and Spring Gallery to be among the stocks to watch on Tuesday following their corporate news.

The research house also expects Star Media Group, MBSB, Petronas Dagangan (PetDag) and Malakoff to attract trading interest following their latest news and quarterly results.

Scomi Group has has put forth a plan to merge its business with two listed subsidiaries — Scomi Energy Services and Scomi Engineering, via a share swap deal with free warrants.

The deal values Scomi Energy at RM304.46mil, and Scomi Engineering at RM111.14mil.

Inix Technologies has been awarded a contract to develop and maintain an integrated legal information system for the Attorney-General’s Chambers worth RM11.82mil.

Serba Dinamik is acquiring 14,000 shares or a 30% stake in Almurisi Development Sdn Bhd (ADSB) for RM18.3mil cash.

The group said one of the properties owned by ADSB is a piece of 70-acre land worth RM61mil in Pengerang, Kota Tinggi, Johor, on which the engineering services group plans to erect a mixed residential and commercial property.

Spring Gallery is venturing into marine construction and coastal reclamation works via its acquisition of the entire two million shares in KTG Marine (M) Sdn Bhd for RM2.2mil cash.

Meanwhile, Star Media Group will reward its shareholders handsomely by declaring  dividends of 36 sen per share for its FY17, despite posting an 80.5% drop in its 2QFY17 net profit.

MBSB, PetDag achieved better year-on-year quarterly results, whilst Malakoff, APM, TH Plantations, Evergreen Fibreboard, Rubberex recorded weaker year-on-year financial results.
