KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Kerjaya Prospek, Seacera Group, Notion VTex and Carlsberg to be among the stocks to see trading interest following their latest news.
Kerjaya Prospek has secured a RM442mil contract for the main building works of a proposed development project from Aspen Vision City Sdn Bhd, a joint venture company of Aspen Group and IKEA Southeast.
Seacera Group plans to develop some RM10bil worth of properties within its 200.6ha land in Semenyih, Selangor, as part of its diversification from tile manufacturing.
JF Apex noted that Notion VTec, Carlsberg, Pos Malaysia, Tasco, Tomei, Vitrox, achieved better year-on-year quarterly results.
On the other hand, it said Hong Leong Industries, Allianz, MFM, Jaks Resources, CENTURY LOGISTICS recorded weaker year-on-year corporate results.
Meanwhile, US markets plunged overnight on concerns of Congress will not work with President Donald Trump on his pro-business agenda.
Earlier, European stocks also tumbled after being dragged by banking counters following the European Central Bank's minutes of meeting suggesting the euro is overvalued and uncertainty in US' growth policy.
“Following the bearish performance in the US and Europe, the FBM KLCI could be negative today with support at 1,750 points,” JF Apex said.
