JOHOR BAHARU, July 28: Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller, the world's largest container ship and the first Triple-E class vessel, made its maiden call today at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) Johor. The ship, costing US$190 million, is 400 metres long, 59 metres wide and 73 metres high (in terms of draft). It is deployed on Maersk Line's AE-10 (Asia Europe) service.
COPENHAGEN: Danish shipping group A.P. Moller Maersk reported an unexpected net loss in the second quarter due to terminal and tanker impairment charges, but said it was upbeat on the container shipping outlook.
Maersk also said it expected a US$200mil to US$300mil bill from a June cyber attack that disrupted its container shipping operations for weeks.
