Minetech unit bags RM35mil MRT2 sub-contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Minetech Resources Bhd’s (MRB) wholly-owned subsidiary, Minetech Construction Sdn Bhd, has bagged a RM35.2mil construction work sub-contract from MMC Gamuda KVMRT (UGW) joint venture.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the quarry operator and civil engineering firm said the sub-contract was for the construction and completion of excavation works, rock strengthening, steel strutting and other associated works for station box, entrances and paid link at the Chan Sow Lin station for the Mass Rapid Transit 2 (Sungai Buluh-Serdang-Putrajaya link) project.

“Work would commence on Aug 15 this year and is expected to contribute positively to the group’s future earnings and net assets per share,” it said.  - Bernama
