Sarawak Energy in talks for power exchange


Bigger capacity: The Murum dam in Sarawak. SEB aims to ramp up its power generation to 7,000MW by 2026.

KUCHING: Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB) is currently in talks with Brunei and Sabah authorities on proposed power exchange agreements.

Chairman Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi said the agreements would provide a platform for SEB to develop the proposed Borneo power grid that would pave the way for Sarawak to export electricity to neighbouring Brunei and Sabah.
