Hua Yang Q1 earnings fall to RM1.72mil

PETALING JAYA: Property developer Hua Yang Bhd’s earnings for the first quarter ended June 30 slumped by more than 92% to RM1.72mil from RM23.91mil during the same period a year ago on fewer ongoing projects.

Revenue dropped 62.5% to RM47.94mil from RM127.96mil the previous year, which translated to a lower basic earnings per share of 0.49 sen from 6.79 sen previously.
