ML Global subsidiary accepts LoA for RM68.14mil project

KUALA LUMPUR: ML Global Bhd’s indirect 70%-owned subsidiary, MGB Geotech Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award (LoA) from Samling Ekovest JV Sdn Bhd (SEJV) to undertake piling works worth RM68.14mil in Bau, Lundu and KSR Section in Sarawak.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, ML Global said MGB Geotech had been appointed as a sub-contractor to SEJV for the piling works.

“The project will increase and enhance the existing order book of the group. With the project in hand, the group’s current outstanding order book is about RM2.05bil,” it said.

The construction period is for 20 months, with completion by Oct 31, 2018.

“The contract will have no effect on the issued and paid-up capital of ML Global, but is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the company,” it said. - Bernama
