KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Advancecon, Genting Malaysia, SCGM and Sunzen Biotech to be among the stocks to watch on Monday.
It said Advancecon will make its debut on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia at 63 sen a share.
As for Genting Malaysia, it announced it is working to recover its investment of US$347.4mil (RM1.49bil) in an integrated gaming resort in Taunton, Massachusetts, US, which has been put on hold pending the resolution of a legal case.
JF Apex Research said Alam Maritim, its subsidiaries, joint-venture companies and associated companies are negotiating with their respective financiers and sukuk holders to restructure the repayment terms of their existing loans/financing facilities and sukuk programme.
Sunzen Biotech plans to diversify into the manufacturing and trading of traditional Chinese medicine and herbal health food and beverages business, through the acquisition of a 70% equity stake in health and wellness company Ecolite Biotech Manufacturing Sdn Bhd.
SCGM is setting up a plant in the Klang Valley to boost its market share in central peninsular Malaysia. The 47,000 sq ft plant, housed in rented premises in Telok Panglima Garang, Klang, would produce thermoform lunchboxes for the Klang Valley market.
Last Friday, US markets rose on Friday after employment data exceeded expectations. Earlier, European ended mixed amid the G-20 meeting in Germany.
On the local market, the FBM KLCI tumbled 10.60 points to end at 1,759.93.
“Following the mixed performance in the US and Europe, the FBM KLCI could remain pressured and test the support of 1,755,” it said.
