Saying sorry is simply not enough


IN a move from the past, the founder of Country Heights Holdings Bhd Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew issued a statement on his commitment to rebuild the company after the shareholders meeting last week. It came on the heels of his company getting entangled with the Inland Revenue Board over long overdue taxes.

Kim Yew apologised for not being able to attend the shareholders meeting and instead stated his commitment to navigate the company past its present problems. However, the market was hardly moved by the statement.
