FGV grants Zakaria extension to reply to show-cause letter


FGV has referred the cases of suspended group president Datuk Zakaria Arshad and group chief financial officer Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha to a domestic inquiry panel.

KUALA LUMPUR: Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) has granted its suspended president/chief executive officer, Datuk Zakaria Arshad, a second and final extension of time to reply to a show-cause letter until noon on June 29.

The show-cause letter relates to the long outstanding debt of Safitex Trading LLC with Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd.

“The board has agreed to grant a second and final extension of time until 12.00 noon on Thursday, June 29 for the group president/chief executive officer to submit the explanation to the show-cause letter and all the documents requested were also granted and given to him today.

“The group president/chief executive officer and group chief financial officer shall continue to be on leave of absence until further notice from the board,” FGV said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
