Lower earnings by Sapura

SapuraKencana order book expected to surge to RM18bil with the inclusion of the RM4.8bil built-in charter contracts for the 16 new tender rigs acquired from Seadrill.

PETALING JAYA: A lower top line in its first quarter ended April 30 has led Sapura Energy Bhd to record significantly lower earnings by 75% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM27.53mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Malaysia’s largest oil and gas (O&G) service provider announced that the drop in its bottom line was on the back of lower revenue, despite being partially offset by higher contributions from its joint ventures in the current quarter.
