Felda mulls plantation trust


The proposed plan is to distribute the units in the entity, which will be a plantation trust, to all shareholders of FGV and the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) to be appointed as the manager of the plantation trust.

PETALING JAYA: The major shareholder of Felda Global Ventures Bhd (FGV) is exploring the possibility of carving out the plantation business from the listed arm and placing it in a trust to be owned by shareholders.

The proposed plan is to distribute the units in the entity, which will be a plantation trust, to all shareholders of FGV and the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) to be appointed as the manager of the plantation trust.
