Chinese start-up Mobike gains US$600m: Chinese bike-sharing start-up Mobike said it has raised US$600 million in a financing round led by Tencent Holdings Ltd, its biggest financing round to date as it seeks to expand aggressively. Singapore exports shrink again in May but electronics hold up: Singapore’s exports shrank for a second straight month in May, though electronics shipments continued to grow solidly to support an economy that wobbled in the first quarter and faces risks from deleveraging in major trading partner China. Non-oil domestic exports from the city-state dropped 1.2% in May from a year earlier, data showed, after declining 0.7% in April for the first time in five months. — Reuters
