FGV, CIMB and Bintai are stocks to watch on Wednesday

KUALA LUMPUR: Felda Global Ventures (FGV), CIMB Group and Bintai Kinden are among the stocks to watch on Wednesday after their corporate announcements, says JF Apex Research.

It said FGV’s four top officials including its CEO and CFO had been suspended pending an internal audit.

As for CIMB, it is selling a 50% stake in its international stockbroking business to China Galaxy Securities for RM515mil.

Bintai Kinden secured a RM74.5mil contract in Myanmar to provide air-conditioning and fire protection installation.

JF Apex Research said Chin Hin had proposed a private placement of 10% to raise RM61.21mil.

As for Frontken, it is buying a 11.42% stake in its Taiwanese subsidiary for RM13.3mil to raise its shareholding to 84.6%.

US markets ended lower overnight on uncertainties ahead of ex-FBI director testimony and the UK's general election.

Earlier, European stocks also declined on the upcoming UK election and ECB's policy meeting.

At Bursa, the FBM KLCI added 3.06 points to 1,791.01.

“Following the bearish performance in the US and Europe, the FBM KLCI is expected to hover below the resistance of 1,800,” it said.
