Digi.Com unit issues RM900mil Islamic notes


New high for Dagang NeXchange Bhd

KUALA LUMPUR: Digi.Com Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digitel), has issued the first series of Islamic medium-term notes (IMTN) amounting to RM900mil in nominal value.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday, Digi.Com said the proceeds from the first IMTN series would be used for general corporate purposes of Digitel and/or its subsidiaries which would be syariah-compliant.

“CIMB Investment Bank Bhd is the sole principal adviser and sole lead arranger while CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd is the sole syariah adviser.

“CIMB Investment, RHB Investment Bank Bhd and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ (M) Bhd are joint lead managers to the first IMTN series,” it said. - Bernama
