ICD and Mizuho sign murabahah deal

KUALA LUMPUR: The Islamic Corp for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) has signed US$300mil (RM1.33bil) murabahah agreement with Mizuho Bank (M) Bhd that will cater for 25% of its funding needs this year.

ICD is the private sector arm of Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) and the murabahah agreement is the first cross-border bilateral Islamic facility for Mizuho Bank Malaysia, a subsidiary of Mizuho Bank Ltd.
