PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s inflation rose 4.5% in February compared to the same period a year ago due to rising transport costs, which was higher than the 3.9% forecast.
The Statistics Department said the February consumer price index (CPI), a broad measure of the rate of inflation, increased to 119.7 versus 114.5 in the corresponding month of the preceding year.
