TM, Axiata deny merger talks

PETALING JAYA: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) and Axiata Group Bhd have both denied that there are any merger talks between them as purported by an article that appeared on StarBiz on March 18.

Both companies said in separate filings to the stock exchange that no such talks have been held. TM said it will make the necessary disclosure in a timely manner on any material information relating to the company pursuant to stock exchange regulations.
