KLCI closes flat on Tuesday as Sime, MISC weigh


At 5pm, the KLCI had slipped 0.07 of a point to 1,693.77 – further away from the key 1,700 level while year-to-date, the KLCI is up 3.17%. Turnover was 2.42 billion shares valued at RM2.89bil. Decliners beat advancers two to one with 625 losers and 317 gainers while 312 counters were unchanged.

The ringgit closed lower against the US dollar to 4.4408 from 4.4385 and slipped against the pound sterling to 5.5208 from 5.064. It was weaker against the Singapore dollar at 3.1663 from 3.1554 and declined against the Euro to 4.6998 from 4.6949.
