Analyst ‘neutral’ on gaming stocks

PETALING JAYA: UOB Kay Hian Research expects the planned amendment to the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953, which aims to combat online gambling, to have a neutral to positive impact on number forecasting operators (NFO).

The NFO industry has been operating in a challenging environment over the past two years, burdened by stiff competition from illegal bookies, decreasing disposal income and the absorption of GST since April 2015.
