Maybank IB: Amendment to the CGHA positive for legal NFOs


Berjaya Land said in a stock exchange filing that the shares, which represented a 0.67% stake, were sold on May 24 and June 6 at an average selling price of RM2.86 each

KUALA LUMPUR: Maybank Investment Bank Research is positive on the amendment to the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 (CGHA) as it may be positive for legal number forecast operators (NFOs).

An amendment to the CGHA will be tabled in Parliament in March 2017 to combat online gambling. A draft of the amendment has been submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers and will be tabled in Parliament in Mar 2017.
