Genting Highlands Premium Outlets offers 1,500 jobs

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 1,500 job opportunities will be made available at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Centre which is scheduled to open by the second quarter of 2017.

A three-day job fair will be held at Wawasan 2020 Grand Ballroom of Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort from 10am to 7pm on Feb 13 to 15.

The vacancies are for sales associates, senior sales associates, sales supervisors, assistant store managers, and store managers.

Genting Highlands Premium Outlets is the second centre to be opened by Genting Simon Sdn Bhd. The first was the Johor Premium Outlets which was opened in 2011 and it was the first Premium Outlet Center in Malaysia and South East Asia. 

Riding on the success of this retail platform in this region, Genting Simon said the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets will feature more brands than its first venture in Johor. 

It will also be Malaysia and South East Asia’s first hilltop Premium Outlet Center featuring 150 designer and brand name stores offering impressive savings of 25% to 65% daily.

Genting Highlands Premium Outlets is a 50:50 joint venture between Genting Plantations Berhad and Premium Outlets, the outlet division of Simon Property Group. 

The walk-in interview session will be held in collaboration with some of its brand partners: Adidas, Aigner, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Beauty Scents, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein Jeans, Charles & Keith, Coach, Furla, Gap, Guess, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Oroton, Pedro, Polo Ralph Lauren, Puma, Samsonite, Superdry, Swatch, Time Lab, and Wacoal.

It said candidates interested in food and beverage can also apply for positions at Absolute Thai, Baskin Robbins, Dome Café, George & Dragon, Juan Valdez Cafe, Starbucks Coffee, and TCBY Frozen Yogurt.

Genting Simon Sdn Bhd chief operating officer  Jean Marie Pin Harry said: “We are excited that Genting Highlands Premium Outlets will be opening its doors to shoppers soon and are pleased that the arrival of the Center complements Resort World Genting’s offerings. 

“It is a key component of the Genting Integrated Tourism Plan and an illustration of private sector participation under the Economic Transformation Programme as well as acting as a catalyst for the tourism industry in the East Coast Economic Region,”said

As for the interested applicants, they should bring along their identity card, resume, relevant documents and certificates (both original and photocopy), and a passport size photo.
