Trading ideas: Bursa, Tiong Nam, MAHB, KIP

Affin Hwang Investment Bank Vice President/Head of Retail Research Datuk Dr Nazri Khan Adam Khan said the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) would remain buoyant and touch 1,730.

KUALA LUMPUR:  JF Apex Research expects Bursa Malaysia, Tiong Nam Logistics, Malaysia Airports Holdings (MAHB) and KIP REIT to be among the stocks to watch on Monday.

Bursa Malaysia's 4QFY16 net profit came in flat at RM50.17mil, mainly dragged down by lower profit from its securities market division.

Tiong Nam Logistics’s subsidiary has been ordered to refund part of the sum it won in a legal suit against Lay Hong Bhd’s unit in a dispute over transportation charges.

JF Apex Research said MAHB’s operating agreements for KL International Airport (KLIA), klia2 and other Malaysian airports have been extended by 35 years.

KIP REIT will be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia at its offer price of RM1.

Last Friday, US markets rallied led by financial counters after better-than-expected employment data. European stocks were also positive after improvement in US non-farm payroll.

At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI surged 11.53 points to 1685.01. Following the positive performance in the US and Europe, the KLCI could retest its resistance of 1,700 as investors return from the festive break, JF Apex Research said.
