PETALING JAYA: Malaysian mergers and acquisitions (M&As) and initial public offerings (IPOs) will pick up this year and bounce back significantly next year on the strength of the country’s open economy and ease of doing business following a difficult 2016.

Wong & Partners, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International, said in the second edition of the Global Transactions Forecast that IPOs will rise to US$2.79bil by 2019 but ease thereafter.
