Khazanah to diversify investments, expand to other countries

Maybank Research: Khazanah Nasional unlikely to privatise UEM Sunrise

KUALA LUMPUR: Khazanah Nasional Bhd will continue to diversify in various sectors and geographically in a prudent manner.

The sovereign wealth fund's managing director Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar said in a media  briefing that any investments or divestments will continued to be made in a measured and gradual manner.

He said these will include investments or divestments in the technology and innovation  sector.

Khazanah has a stake in Singapore-based online gaming portal Garena, which was recently in the news seeking a US$1bil initial public offering.

Azman said part of the gains realised from selling part of the Alibaba stake has been used for investments in other tech and innovation companies.
