PETALING JAYA: PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd is teaming up with China IOT Co Ltd to provide e-commerce logistics services and solutions.

PKT Logistics signed two agreements with the subsidiary of 360zebra group to set up two joint-venture companies – PKT 360zebra eLogistics Sdn Bhd and PKT 360zebra Express Sdn Bhd.

The joint venture between the two companies would enable both entities to penetrate the growing e-commerce segment in Asean, starting with the Malaysian market, the company said in a statement.

While PKT 360zebra eLogistics will focus on providing innovative logistics solutions to e-commerce players such as e-cargo and e-forward services, PKT 360zebra Express will focus on sales, marketing, trading and consultancy services.

PKT Logistics group chief executive officer and managing director Datuk Michael Tio said: “PKT’s strategic partnership with 360zebra is extremely timely as it supports the Malaysian government’s objective of promoting the digital economy.

“Coupled with exciting initiatives such as the Digital Free Zone as announced in the 2017 budget, PKT hopes to assist existing and budding e-commerce merchants and players to extend their access to overseas markets by making cross-border logistics services simple and cost-effective.”

PKT Logistics, a niche logistics service provider in Malaysia, has a presence in most Asean countries, South Korea and Taiwan, among others.

The 360zebra group, headquartered in California, United States, has been involved in the business of providing e-commerce logistics solutions. Among its clients are Alibaba, eBay and Hisense.
