PETALING JAYA: After lagging behind the equity market for the last three years, the Kuala Lumpur Finance Index (KLFIN) has staged a rebound, a reflection of investor confidence in the capabilities of banks in managing their asset qualities, coupled with attractive valuations in some banking stocks.

Analysts contacted by StarBiz concurred that KLFIN may further strengthened this year although the direction going forward would very much depend on external and macro headwinds.
