Margma wants to meet Bank Negara over ruling on currency

PETALING JAYA: The local rubber glove industry’s lobby group, the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (Margma), is calling for a meeting with Bank Negara after the central bank’s recent ruling that exporters must convert 75% of their export earnings into ringgit.

In a statement, Margma expressed its dissatisfaction over the latest measure to reverse the ringgit’s weakening trend, with its president, Denis Low Jau Foo, hoping that the central bank would review this measure.
