Eurozone expands as companies look past political woes

FRANKFURT: The eurozone economy expanded at the fastest pace this year in November as companies took on workers and kept political concerns at bay.

A Purchasing Managers’ Index for manufacturing and services rose to 53.9 from 53.3 a month earlier, IHS Markit said yesterday. While that’s slightly below a previous estimate of 54.1, it still marks the highest level in 11 months. Italian business activity grew at the fastest rate in nine months.
