Fernandes, Kamarudin get BNM nod to up AirAsia stake


Analysts covering the airline said Fernandes(left in file pic) told them that he, and his long-term business partner Kamarudin Meranun(right), would become more hands on.

PETALING JAYA: AirAsia Bhd’s subscription agreement with Tune Live Sdn Bhd for the proposed issuance of 559 million new shares in AirAsia at RM1.80 that will raise RM1.01bil became unconditional yesterday.

This came following Tune Live receiving approval from Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) for its partial offshore funding.
